Palliative Care Australia is the peak national organisation representing the interests and aspirations of all who share the ideal of quality care at the end of life.

Palliative Care Australia is based in Canberra and our national network includes member organisations in each state and territory and the Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine.

We have an extensive network of health professional and academic personnel available to provide expert comment on all aspects of dying and death in our community.

Palliative Care Australia is a substantial source of expertise and comment. Subjects on which Palliative Care Australia and its members can speak authoritatively cover:

  • palliative care
  • end-of-life care
  • population trends
  • aged care
  • access to medicines
  • health care services and financing
  • bereavement and emotional support
  • health system reform
  • standards.
